Music - Salter Hall

A view from the center of Salter Hall's audience, looking at the stage

The Lewis S. Salter Concert Hall, located in the Wabash College Fine Arts Center, is a home for musical performance on campus and within the Crawfordsville community. The 40 by 35 foot parquet-floored, oak-paneled stage, 25-foot shell, and acoustically designed hall provide an optimal environment for music performance and listening.

The hall seats 265, and is the regular venue for college ensembles, student and faculty recitals, and world-class performances in the college's annual Visiting Artist Series. Excellent sight lines and fine acoustics provide meaningful and enjoyable experiences for audiences and performers alike.

The college's Bösendorfer and Steinway concert grand pianos are housed in the stage area. The hall also provides an effective large-group lecture and presentation space for the college.
