MAT 333 Introduction to Functions of a Real Variable I

Advanced—A first course in the foundations of modern analysis. Topics include set theory, topology of the real numbers, sequences, series, differentiation, integration, and rigorous proofs of the major theorems of single-variable calculus. This course is offered in the fall semester.


Prerequisite: Mathematics 223.  It is recommended that students take Mathematics 331 before Mathematics 333.
