WLAIP Final Institute Day | WLAIP
closing day of the WLAIP summer institute, 2024: July 30th (Tentative schedule, subject to change)
The day will include lunch for any families who can easily attend and for students. We will hold a brief information session for families (as students prepare for departure) and a closing ceremony in which we will recognize each student. We hope many families can attend but also understand that it may be difficult to travel to Crawfordsville for this event. Families are NOT REQUIRED to attend the events.
The schedule below provides approximations of the timing for each session:
11:00 am - 12:00 pm.: Family Information Session (Baxter Hall, room 114)
Families will talk with Professors Lamberton and Abbott, the Coordinators of the Institute, and student mentors about how the month went and what the students did during the month.
12:00 pm - 1 pm: Lunch in Detchon International Hall for both families and students
1:00 pm - 1:45 pm: Looking ahead to the fall semester (Baxter Hall, room 101)
Families and students will hear a little bit about the fall semester, including what will happen during Ringing in Saturday and what the WLAIP program will be for their freshman year.
1:45pm - 2:15 pm: Closing ceremony (Baxter Hall, room 101)
The Institute will end with a brief ceremony and the singing of “Old Wabash,” the Wabash fight song.
