Student Mentors | WLAIP Summer Institute

Upper class mentors and tutors will live in the dorm with the freshmen, will be there to address questions students have about the Institute and about Wabash, will help students with their classwork during the Institute, and will have responsibility for organizing particular components of the Institute.


Our class tutors/writing fellows for WLAIP '26 are:

kadyn ellery, '29, plymouth, in
FINANCIAL ECONOMICS MAJOR, MATH AND BLACK STUDIES MINORS
Kadyn is an incoming sophomore at Wabash College, where he plans to major in financial economics and possibly minor in math or black studies. Along with his academic goals, he is also a member of the men’s basketball team. Outside of school, Kadyn enjoys hanging out with friends, lifting , and playing video games. After Wabash, Kadyn is still considering if he wants to pursue further education or head right into the workforce somewhere in the realm of finance.

angel perez, '27, frankfort, in

MATHEMATICS MAJOR, RHETORIC MINOR

Angel is a rising senior at Wabash College, where he is a part of multiple organizations on campus. He is currently a brother of Phi Delta Theta and an active member of La Alianza. Angel is also a very talented student athlete, competing on both the Wabash College cross country and track and field teams. Angel enjoys meeting new people, working out, and watching movies. After Wabash, Angel plans to continue his 4/2 pre engineering track at Purdue University to get a degree in mechanical engineering. 
 
 

Sergio meza, '29, east chicago, in

 POLITICAL SCIENCE AND HISPANIC STUDIES MAJOR

Sergio is a rising sophomore at Wabash College and a Brother of Kappa Sigma, where he serves as the fraternity’s philanthropy chair. On campus, he is involved in several clubs and organizations. He is an active member of La Alianza and ‘shOUT. He is also involved with the Latino Community Center as a Latine Student Voice Researcher. He currently serves as co-chair of the Student Senate's Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Sergio enjoys gardening, spending time with friends, and listening to music. After Wabash, Sergio plans to attend law school. 
 

Elorm nevis '27, cincinnati, oh
RHETORIC MAJOR, ECONOMICS MINOR
Elorm is a rising senior at Wabash college, where he is a part of multiple organizations on campus. He is currently an active member of Malcom X Institute of Black Studies and La Alianza and also works as a Student Ambassador for Wabash college as well as Building Manager and Office Assistant at the MXI. Elorm is also a student athlete wrestling on the Wabash College Wrestling team. Elorm enjoys hanging out with people and playing video games. After Wabash Elorm plans on working in the accounting field.

Jace caldwell '28, Indianapolis, IN
POLITICS, PHILOSOPHY, & ECONOMICS (PPE) MAJOR, RHETORIC MINOR
Jace is a rising Junior at Wabash, where he is part of many organizations on campus. He is currently an active member in the Malcom X Institute of Black Studies and serves as the membership chair and administrator assistant in the MXI. Jace is also a student athlete competing on the Wabash College Swimming & Diving Team. Jace enjoys going to the gym, playing pool, and getting to know new people. After college Jace plans on pursuing tech sales.

alfredo campos '27, oakland, ca
SPANISH MAJOR, RHETORIC MINOR
Alfredo is a rising senior at Wabash College, where he is involved in campus life and athletics. He is a member of La Alianza and competes on the Wabash College soccer team. Alfredo enjoys meeting new people, staying active, and spending time with friends and family. After Wabash, Alfredo plans on pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management and building a career in the sports industry.

SEBASTIAN LICON '28, EL PASO, tx

SPANISH AND RHETORIC DOUBLE MAJOR

Sebastian is a rising junior at Wabash College, he is involved in Campus competing in the soccer team of Wabash College. Sebastian enjoys meeting new people, working out, play soccer and spend time with family and friends. After Wabash, Sebastian plans on pursuing a master's degree in marketing related to sports or in business.
