If you have an urgent need for medical care outside of the Student Health Center hours (8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) that you feel can’t wait until normal Health Center hours:
-
Monday-Friday: Call the private medical practice of Dr. Douglas at 765-362-5789. Press “9” to speak to a staff member, and tell them you are a Wabash College student. HIs office is in the Franciscan Physician Network location at 1640 Crawfordsville Square Drive (in the mall where Kroger supermarket is located on the south side of Crawfordsville).
-
For an emergency, Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Hospital is located at 1710 Lafayette Avenue (231 North). The hospital’s phone number is 765-362-2800. Always call 911 if the situation is emergent — uncontrolled bleeding, unconscious person, prolonged seizures, difficulty breathing, etc.
-
For non-urgent conditions (sore throat, cough, skin infection, minor injury, etc.), Douglas’ office is more cost-effective.
