Knott, Boulais Earn NCAC Player of the Year Honors

Senior Jake Knott (Lafayette, IN/Jefferson) and Nate Boulais (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis) were named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Year. Knott was named the Mike Gregory Award winner for the second consecutive season as NCAC Offensive Player of the Year. Boulais will receive the Hank Crutchfield Award as the NCAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Knott led the conference in passing this season with 2,328 yards and in total offense with 2,556 yards. He shattered the conference career TD passing record, throwing 93 scoring strikes in three seasons while eclipsing the previous mark of 65. He is the all-time passing leader and leader in total offense in Wabash College history and is one of only 16 players in NCAA history to pass for over 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns in a career. The Gregory Award is presented by Richard Gregory in honor of his father, Mike, a multi-sport ahtletic star at Denison Univerisity in the 1920's.

Boulais led the Wabash defense in tackles for the fourth consecutive season, making 33 solo stops and 45 assisted tackles. He earned Verizon Academic All-District V Second Team honors earlier this year. Boulais is the leader of the fourth-best rushing defense in Division III, holding the opposition to four rushing TDs and an average of 61.2 yards per game on the ground. Boualis is only the second player in Wabash history to top 300 tackles in a career.

The Crutchfield Award is presented in honor of Hank Crutchfield, a member of the Wooster football team and 1927 graduate.
