Harriers Outlast Weather to Take Eighth at the Indiana Intercollegiate Cross Country Race

Despite severe storms that spread throughout central and southern Indiana on Friday afternoon, the annual Indiana Intercollegiate was able to be completed. The Wabash College squad finished eighth out of 14 teams competing in the second division of the 8k race, hosted by Indiana University and run in Bloomington, Indiana. Junior Dan Ruge (Chesterton, IN/Chesterton) took individual honors for the Little Giants, finishing ninth out of 122 runners. Ruge crossed the finish line in 29:33.

Senior Mark Sherer (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso) also finished in the top-20, taking 13th place. Sherer was just 10 seconds behind his teammate, finishing with a time of 29:43
