The Music Department...

The music department at Wabash offers a number of exciting opportunities for students interested in singing, playing in instrumental ensembles, learning musical skills, or touring internationally. Private lessons are offered for credit in voice, as well as piano, organ, strings, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments and many folk and traditional instruments like guitar, xylophone, drums, harps, lyres, and fiddles. Students can also receive credit for participating in any of the College’s choral or instrumental groups. Membership in these ensembles includes students of varying levels of experience and musical knowledge.

Call-out sessions for the ensembles will be at the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester. The Music department also offers music courses in world music, electronic music, music history, and music theory and composition. All courses are offered to both beginner and advanced students. These courses could get you started either on a musical journey of your choice and interest or allow you to continue building your musical knowledge and skills.
