Alumni Welcome The Whites to New Jersey

Alumni and their guests from Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey gathered at the historic Stockton Inn to welcome President and Mrs. Pat White to the area.

After a great meal in front of an old fireplace, President White provided the group with an update on the college.  President White focused on the students, citing examples of the rigor our students expect when they come to Wabash.  He covered the origins of the college’s latest strategic plan and the central role students played in formulating that plan.  He also took time to update the group on the financial status of the college – explaining the steps his management team has taken to keep Wabash strong and to begin to change the financial models at the college.

Brad Maxwell ’83, the emcee for the evening, also explained the upcoming College That Change Lives college fair series coming to the area and encouraged alumni to refer students to the college.

The historic Stockton Inn is 300 years old and sits just up the Delaware river from the location George Washington crossed the river.  The bar at the Inn was built in 1832 making the Inn a perfect location for a Wabash event!

Many thanks to Brad for setting up a great evening.
