Big Bash reunion weekend kicks off this Friday, bringing alumni and friends back to campus for three days of conversation, tradition, and celebration.
The weekend begins Friday morning with registration at the Allen Center, campus tours led by students in the CIBE Business Immersion Program, and the Wally Wabash Golf Outing at Rocky Ridge Golf Club. Alumni can also browse the College Bookstore, reconnect with old classmates, and sign the official Alumni Register.
Following the welcome luncheon in Chadwick Court, attendees will gather in Hays Science Hall for the annual symposium. This year’s theme, “Paging Dr. Wally: A Symposium on Healthcare and the Liberal Arts,” will feature presentations from alumni, faculty, and staff exploring the intersection of healthcare and a liberal arts education.
Speakers include Jon Pactor ’71, Bob Einterz ’77, Andy Bridge ’01, Randy Moore ’79, Chad Westphal, Randy Williams ’83, Eric Wetzel, Steve Mackin ’98, and Preston Bost.
Throughout the afternoon, alumni can continue conversations at Wally’s Pub, a temporary gathering space outside the Collett Tennis Center.
The first day of the reunion will conclude with the Big Bash Kickoff Celebration in Chadwick Court, where guests will come together for dinner, drinks, and an evening of reconnecting with old friends and classmates.
Saturday’s activities begin with opportunities to explore Crawfordsville and campus through a community bike ride, a fun run and walk, and guided campus tours. A Fathers Roundtable will offer discussion and fellowship for Wabash fathers, while Lilly Library’s History Harvest will invite alumni to contribute photographs, letters, programs, and other memorabilia to a growing collection documenting student life at Wabash.
One of the weekend’s most anticipated traditions, Alumni Chapel Sing, returns to Pioneer Chapel late Saturday morning. Classes compete for top honors while joining together to sing “Old Wabash” and revisit a tradition shared across generations of Little Giants.
A luncheon in Chadwick Court will follow Chapel Sing. During the program, the College will award honorary bachelor’s degrees to several members of the Class of 1976 and recognize significant fundraising achievements supporting Wabash’s mission. Reunion class photographs will be taken afterward on the steps of the Allen Center.
Saturday afternoon will feature a series of programs highlighting both campus life and the future of the College. Dean of Students Scott Brown will discuss his first year at Wabash and his vision for student life followed by President Scott Feller’s campus update during the annual Wabash Today presentation.
Academic departments will then welcome alumni back for receptions in Hays Science Hall, Goodrich Hall, and Baxter Hall, offering former students the chance to reconnect with fellow majors and meet the current faculty.
The evening will continue with an All Wabash Reception before alumni disperse across campus for reunion class dinners, during which the Class of 1976 will be presented with 50th Anniversary Medallions.
Big Bash will conclude Sunday morning with an informal breakfast at Chadwick Court, giving attendees one final opportunity to share stories, exchange farewells, and celebrate the connections that continue long after graduation.
