Description: | 2nd Half Semester An advanced study of a biochemistry topic beyond those explored in Che 361. Recent topics include the Biochemistry of Covid-19, Determination of Biomolecular Structure, The Chemistry of Cancer, and Fermentation. Students will recall, apply and extend their fundamental understanding of biomolecular structures, enzyme kinetics, and/or metabolism. The texts will be from a variety of scientific technical writing formats, including review articles, primary research articles, regulatory submissions and patents. The class will be taught in a discussion-based format, and students will prepare written and oral presentations of specific examples from the course content. |
