Mulligan Named Assistant Basketball Coach at Wabash College

Crawfordsville, IN — Wabash College Athletic Director Vernon Mummert has announced that Jason Mulligan of Highland, Indiana, has been named as an assistant basketball coach for the Little Giants.

Mulligan, a 2000 graduate Olivet Nazarene University, spent last season as the junior varsity basketball coach at Highland High School. He also worked as an event manager for Mid-America Sports and Events Group. He served as a sports information intern at Olivet Nazarene in 1999 and has also been a high school and middle school substitute teacher.

Mulligan was a four-year member of the Olivet Nazarene varsity basketball team. He was named the Most Improved Player as a senior. He wrote a column for The Daily Journal in Kankakee, Illinois, and was a sportswriter for the school newspaper.

“I recruited Jason when he was in high school,” said Wabash head basketball coach Mac Petty. “I knew then that he was dedicated, and had a good attitude and solid work ethic. He brings all of those attributes to our program along with an understanding of the game of basketball as both a player and a coach.”

Mulligan is single and will reside in Crawfordsville. He begins his coaching duties immediately.

The Wabash basketball program is 94-40 over the last five seasons.
