A 10-month appointment, the Hearst Minority Fellowship begins on August 15 and ends on June 15. Since the Center believes that education in philanthropy is essential to leadership development, Hearst fellows devote time to: Studying philanthropic experience and tradition, Investigating connections between formal education and community service, Building valuable connections with others in the Center's programs and discussing the role of philanthropy in all communities in our society. Tuition is waived and $9000 housing stipend
