Special topics in literature, language or culture chosen in consultation with the instructor, discussed in tutorial sessions. Students who plan to do independent study are expected to consult with the faculty member and to submit their proposals well in advance of the beginning of the semester in which they will to do the work. One-half or one course credit. This course is not offered in 2008-2009.
Prerequisite: Consent of the instructor and the department chair.
