ECO 222 Comparative Economic Systems
A critical comparative study of various economic systems. This class includes both an introduction to theoretical debates about what system is best, and a survey of some of the economic systems used in the past and in the world today. Particular attention is paid to variations of the capitalist system in Europe and the transition to capitalism in formerly communist countries. This course is offered in the spring semester, alternate years.
Prerequisite: Economics 101 or consent of the instructor.
