Policy On Sharing Information About Alumni
The mission of the Office of Alumni Affairs is to provide effective communication between the College and her alumni and facilitate increased alumni interaction in the life of the College. As a part of that mission, the office maintains a database of personal information on alumni including, but not limited to, information on profession, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. This information allows the College to maintain effective contact with her alumni.
In accordance with the Gentleman’s Rule, the Office of Alumni Affairs honors requests for addresses, phone numbers, mailing lists, and similar contact information with the expressed understanding that the information will be used only to foster stronger personal relationships among alumni and with the College. The same understanding applies to information available in the published Alumni Directory and in the Alumni eServices on-line directory.
Information on Wabash College alumni obtained from the Office of Alumni Affairs, from the Alumni Directory, or from the Alumni eServices on-line directory is not to be used for commercial or personal for-profit endeavors or to solicit support for any non-profit activity other than Wabash College.
The e-mail forwarding and other Services are provided free of charge as a courtesy to alumni and are hosted on college-owned equipment. The College reserves the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue the Services at any time for any reason, and to do so without notice.
WCAO does not monitor messages for viruses or other harmful content and does not filter out junk e-mail. WCAO does limit the size of email that can be transmitted through the system. WCAO does not store any messages sent through the system for retrieval by users. WCAO does not guarantee the availability of the system and is not responsible for any delays, inaccuracies, errors, misdirected e-mail or omissions in the transmission of data through the System.

WABASH COLLEGE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WABASH COLLEGE HAS BEEN SPECIFICALLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL WABASH'S LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSES AND CAUSES OF ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE) EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, TO ACCESS THESE SERVICES.
WCAO makes the Services available to alumni free of charge as a courtesy. In consideration for such Services you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wabash College, its directors, officers, employees and agents, against same with respect to any claim, demand, cause of action, debt or liability, including reasonable attorneys' fees, to the extent that the same is based upon a claim that arises out of the use or misuse of the Services on your account.
