Description: | The aim of this course is to critically analyze the involvement of government intervention into the market economy from an economic point of view. The course will do this in three different stages. Stage one is to understand the unhampered market process and the introduction of market failure. Stage two will cover the dynamics of interventionism. And stage three will introduce further issues with government intervention from the field of public choice theory. Students will learn through a series of readings, lecturers, and class discussions. |
