Description: This survey/studio course will provide students with the basic knowledge and tools to create their own animations using Abode After Effects. Some of the techniques include animating layers, working with masks, Puppet Tool, Roto Brush Tool, Motion Tracking, Color Correction, and working with 2D images in 3D space. In addition, sound design and other basic image-making principles and aesthetics will be explored. We will also examine the nature of Art in relation to the audience and specifically how experimental animation can be used as a form of self-expression. There will be studio components following course instructional demos in which students will create their own original experimental animations.
