Freeman Named Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Senior co-captain Ryan Freeman (Delphi, IN/Delphi) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The award is for the period ending October 7.

Freeman led Wabash to a 20-15 victory over Wooster on Saturday (10/7), finishing with 10 tackles. Five of the linebacker's stops were unassisted, four were for losses totaling -12 yards, and two were quarterback sacks for a loss of nine yards.

Freeman is the first Little Giant football player to earn Player of the Week honors in the NCAC. Wabash is participating in football in the NCAC for the first time this season.
