Soccer Team Drops One Goal Decision

The Wabash soccer team played at Anderson on Wednesday evening, losing a 2-1 decision to the Ravens.

The Little Giant's goal came at the 66-minute mark when senior Momodou Jagne (Banjul, Gambia/Gambia) scored on a penalty kick to cut the Raven's lead in half.

Anderson scored its first goal in the first 10 minutes of the match, then tallied the game-winner just over a minute into the second half. Sophomore goalie Graham Bailey (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) faced 13 shots by the Ravens. Anderson outshot Wabash 25-15 overall for the match. Ben Robinson (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) and Mike Krasnodemski (Westerville, OH/Westerville South) had two shots each for Wabash. Jagne added eight shots in the match.

Wabash falls to 1-2 with the loss. The Little Giants travel to Millikin on Sunday, September 10, for a 2 p.m. match.
