Little Giants Finish Eighth on the Links at Conference Championship Tournament

The Wabash College golf team finished eighth out of nine teams at the 2002 North Coast Athletic Conference Golf Championship, hosted by Kenyon College over the weekend.

Wabash finished with 691 strokes. Ohio Wesleyan won the tournament with a score of 624. Allegheny was second (628), followed by Denison (638), Wittenberg (646), Wooster (656), Kenyon (665), and Hiram (688). Oberlin finished ninth with 697 strokes.

Senior Joe Mills (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) was the top finisher for the Little Giants, shooting a 166 in the two-day tournament. Rob McCourt (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood Community) shot a 174, while Caleb Selby (Crawfordsville, IN/Southmont) fired a 176. Freshman Kevin Casey (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) had a 180, while fellow freshman Jon Engel (Evansville, IN/Bosse) fired a 188.
