Wabash Golfers Finish 19th at Illinois Wesleyan

The Wabash College golf team finished 19th out of 26 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois.

Wabash finished with a total of 650 strokes (323-327), two strokes behind Webster University and five behind North Central College.

Sophomore Caleb Selby (Crawfordsville, IN/Southmont) was the top finisher for the Little Giants, tying for 33rd. Selby shot a 156 (77-79) for a two-round total. Freshman Kevin Casey (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) was 61st with a two-day total of 161 (80-81).

The Little Giants will travel to the Trophy Club on Tuesday, April 16 for the final round of the Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic. Wabash took a 4-1 lead over Rose-Hulman in the first round at Terre Haute. The second round was scheduled to be played at the Crawfordsville Country Club, but was moved to the Trophy Club after weather postponed the original event.
