Wabash Leads Rose-Hulman after Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic Opener

The Wabash College golf team took a 4-1 lead after the first round of the Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic. The opening round was originally scheduled to be played on March 21 at the Crawfordsville Country Club, but was postponed. Tuesday's match took place at the Hulman Links in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Joe Mills (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) finished one up to take the first point for the Little Giants. Freshman Kevin Casey (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) was four and three to earn another victory for the Wabash squad. Jon Engel (Evansville, IN/Evansville Bosse) claimed a four and two victory in his match. Chris Miltenberger (West Chester, OH/Lakota West) and Ben Tooley (Berne, IN/South Adams) combined for a four and three win to give the Little Giants the three-point advantage.

The final round of the Giant-Engineer Match Play Classic will take place on Tuesday, April 16 at the Crawfordsville Country Club. The two teams will battle for the remaining six points in the match play tournament.
