Little Giant Netters Take Tenth Win of the Season

The Wabash College tennis team improved its dual meet record to 10-3 with a 6-1 victory over Anderson University on Wednesday evening. The match was originally scheduled for February 28, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Wabash swept the doubles matches and took five out of the six singles matches. Sophomore Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at number one singles. Junior Scott Paramoure (New Brownfels, TX/New Brownfels) took a 6-4, 6-2 victory at number two singles. Senior Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) added another win to his career total, defeating Anderson's Brian Stump 6-1, 6-0 at number three singles. Altman became the all-time wins leader in Wabash tennis history last weekend.

Sophomore Hadi Motiee (Muncie, IN/Muncie Burris) took a 6-4, 7-5 victory at number four singles. Sophomore Cameron Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) finished the singles portion of the match with a 6-4, 6-3 win at number six singles.

Lynch and Paramoure combined for an 8-3 win at number one doubles. Altman and Starnes were 9-7 victors at number two singles, and Motiee and freshman Nathan Cain (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) took an 8-4 win at number three singles.

Wabash will participate in the Great Lakes Colleges Association Tennis Tournament this weekend at the College of Wooster.
