Selby, Casey Tie for 17th at Hanover Invitational

Sophomore Caleb Selby (Crawfordsville, IN/Southmont) and freshman Kevin Casey (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) finished the two-round Hanover Classic with scores of 162, tying for 17th place out of 45 golfers at the event held Sunday and Monday at the Shadowwood Golf Course in Seymour, Indiana.

Selby fired a 79 in the first round to lead the Little Giants, who finished fifth out of six teams in the competition. He shot a second round 83 to finish at 162. Casey cut two strokes off of his first round 82, scoring an 80 on Monday for a two-round total of 162.

Junior Charlie Renie (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) had a two-day total of 163 (80/83). Freshman Parker Collins (Bloomington, IN/Bloomington South) finished with a 168 (88/80). Senior Rob McCourt (Greenwood, IN/Greenwood Community) had a 170 (84/86).

Franklin College won the competition with a total of 616 strokes. Manchester was second (619), Hanover took third (626), followed by Rose-Hulman (632), Wabash (651), and Thomas More (657).

The Little Giants will take to the links on March 28 at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky for the Centre College Invitational.
