Tennis Team Defeats St. Joseph's 8-1

The Wabash College tennis team handed St. Joseph's College of Indiana a 8-1 defeat on Wednesday at Rollins College in Florida. The Little Giants swept singles play, losing only the number one doubles match.

Scott Paramoure (New Brownfels, TX/New Brownfels) and Cameron Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) combined for an 8-3 win at number two doubles, while Hadi Motiee (Muncie, IN/Muncie Burris) and Paul Drambarean (Attica, IN/Attice) took an 8-1 victory at number three doubles.

Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) took the win at number one singles with a 7-6 (5), 6-1 score. Paramoure was a winner at number two singles (6-3, 4-6 (10-8)), as was Motiee at number three singles (6-1, 6-1).

Starnes took a 6-2, 6-1 win at number four singles. Nathan Cain (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) defeated Greg Gulvas of St. Joseph 6-1, 6-0 at number five singles. Drambarean completed the singles sweep with a 7-6 (2), 6-4 win at number six singles.
