Claxton Named NCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Junior guard Brady Claxton (Shelbyville, IN/Shelbyville) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending January 5.

Claxton averaged 19.5 points per game in two games for the Little Giants. He scored 16 points in a 92-58 victory over Hiram on Friday night, then led Wabash with 23 points in a 72-71 overtime loss against Allegheny on Saturday. Claxton was 15-of-27 from the field (.556), 4-of-10 from the three-point arc (.400), and hit 5-of-6 free throws (.833) in the two games. His 23 points against Allegheny is his third-highest total for the season. He scored 25 against Hanover and 24 against Kenyon earlier this year.

Claxton is the son of Bob and Susie Claxton of Shelbyville, IN.
