Grapplers Open Season with Win over Concordia

The Wabash wrestling team opened its season with a 30-18 victory over Concordia University.

The Little Giants won seven of the ten matches, including a come-from-behind effort by freshman Drew McCoy (New Palastine, IN/New Palastine). McCoy trailed 3-1 going into the final period in the 149-pound match, only to come back and win 7-6 over Wisconsin state champion Sam Rugg of Concordia. Junior Logan Kuhne (Ft. Wayne, IN/Northrop) scored a 6-5 victory at 184 pounds, scoring in the final two seconds of the match to claim the win.
