Wabash junior forward Carlos Aguirre (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis) (photo right) scored his second goal in five days to give the Little Giants a 1-1 tie in double-overtime at Hanover on Wednesday evening.

Hanover scored the first goal of the match in the 16th minute before Aguirre, the leading scorer for the Little Giants, scored his fifth goal of the season. The unassisted goal came in the 37th minute.

Freshman goalie Nick George (West Lafayette, IN/Harrison) made eight saves in his second start of the season. He had one save in each of the two overtime periods. Wabash had nine shots on goal and 22 total shots in the match.

The tie, the second in a row for Wabash, puts the Little Giants at 2-3-2 for the season. Wabash is 0-0-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference and returns to conference play this weekend. The Little Giants will play at Allegheny College on Saturday before traveling to Hiram College on Sunday. The match on Sunday was rescheduled from its originally date of September 15.
