Tennis Team Falls to Huntington in Final Home Match

The Wabash College tennis team finished the regular season on Saturday with a home match against Huntington College, losing 6-1.

Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) finished with the only victory in singles play for Wabash, defeating Huntington's Mark Richard 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Altman finished the year with a record of 16-3 at the number five singles flight for Wabash, the top individual record for the Little Giants this season.

Altman and Klint Schwenk (Jasper, IN/Jasper) took an 8-2 victory at number three doubles for Wabash as well.

The Little Giant netters finished the year with a 13-6 record, winning 13 matches for only the second time in Wabash history. The Little Giants finished 13-5 in 1986, and had a school-best mark of 15-6 in 1993.

Wabash will participate in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament scheduled for May 4-5.
