Battle of Ranked Teams Ends With Wittenberg Sweep Against Wabash Tennis Team

Wabash and Wittenberg met on the Collett Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon, with both teams ranked in the top-20 of the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. Wittenberg entered the day ranked 10th in the region while Wabash was ranked 20th. The rankings proved accurate as Wittenberg swept the Little Giant netters 7-0.

Wabash managed an 8-4 victory at number three doubles as Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) and Klint Schwenk (Jasper, IN/Jasper) scored an 8-4 win against Duby Lakos and Mike Herzog of Wittenberg. The Tigers took the rest of the matches, moving the Wabash team's record to 13-5 for the season. The Little Giants are now 2-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference Western Division.

Wabash will finish the regular season at home next Saturday against Huntington College.
