Little Giants Downed in First Game at Denison

The bad luck that seems to happen on Friday the 13th struck the Wabash College baseball as the Little Giants lost 24-6 to the Denison Big Red on Friday afternoon.

Wabash took a 1-0 lead in the first as Jake Martin (Rushville, IN/Rushville) scored after two Denison errors in the first inning. But Denison scored five runs in the first, four in the second, and six in the third to silence the Little Giant fans at Granville.

Sophomore Josh Stanton (Mooresville, IN/Mooresville) continued to lead the Wabash hitters. Stanton, averaging over .400 for the season, went 2-for-5 in the game. Mike Mack (Butler, IN/Eastside) scored two runs while going 1-for-3 from the plate.

The Little Giants will try and bounce back when they face Denison in a doubleheader on Saturday.
