Sixth Straight Tennis Win Comes at Franklin in Rescheduled Match

The Wabash College tennis team won its sixth consecutive match, pushing its record to 10-2 by sweeping the Franklin Grizzlies on Tuesday night.

Junior Dan Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) improved his season mark to 11-1 at number five singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Constantine Alexander (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) kept his undefeated record at number two singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 to move to 9-0 for the year.

Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at number one singles, while Scott Paramoure (Bath, PA/New Brownfels - Logansport) took a 6-0, 6-3 victory at number three singles. Andrew Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) won at number four singles (6-1, 6-2), as did Klint Schwenk (Jasper, IN/Jasper) at number six singles (6-1, 6-3).

Alexander and Paramoure combined for an 8-3 win at number two doubles. Schwenk and Altman moved to 5-0 for the season at number three doubles with an 8-0 sweep.

Wabash will host the annual Kerry Seward Tennis Invitational this weekend at the Collett Tennis Center. Matches begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
