Tennis Team Takes Fifth Straight at Hanover

The Wabash College tennis team captured its fifth consecutive win with a 6-1 victory at Hanover on Saturday.

The Little Giants opened with two wins at doubles as Andrew Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) and Constantine Alexander (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) moved to 5-1 at number two doubles with an 8-1 victory. Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) and Klint Schwenk (Jasper, IN/Jasper) won the doubles point for Wabash with an 8-4 win at number three doubles.

Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) moved to 6-2 at number one singles with a three-set victory. The freshman won 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to rally for the victory. Alexander took a 6-1, 7-5 win at number two singles, while Scott Paramoure (Bath, PA/New Brownfels - Logansport) came from behind to win at number three singles by a score of 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Shelton and Altman finished the win with victories at number four and five singles.

Wabash moves to 9-2 for the year with the win.
