Tennis Team Wins Fourth Straight With Sweep of Rose-Hulman

The Wabash College tennis team stretched its winning streak to four with a 7-0 win over Rose-Hulman at the Collett Tennis Center on Tuesday night.

The Little Giants opened the match by taking two out of the three doubles contests. Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) and Scott Paramoure (Bath, PA/New Brownfels - Logansport) combined for an 8-6 victory at number one doubles, while Klint Schwenk (Jasper, IN/Jasper) and Daniel Altman (Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) won by the same score at number three doubles.

Wabash swept the singles play as Lynch opened with a 6-2, 6-0 win at number one. Constantine Alexander (Logansport, IN/Logansport) took a 6-0, 6-1 win at number two singles, and Paramoure won a 6-4, 7-5 decision at number three singles. Andrew Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/North Central) battled to a three-set win at number four singles, winning 7-5, 6-7, 6-3. Altman won at number five 6-2, 3-6, 7-6; winning the tiebreaker 7-2, while Schwenk took a 6-0, 2-6, 7-5 victory at number six singles.

Wabash is 8-2 on the season. The Little Giants will face Hanover and Centre College in a double-dual match on Saturday at Hanover.
