Schroeder Finishes 4-1 at Wheaton

Senior wrestler Mike Schroeder (Evansville, IN/Mater Dei) finished the weekend 4-1 at the Wheaton College Wrestling Invitational.

Schroeder lost his opening match at 184 pounds by a 14-9 score to Central Missouri's John Rolling before going on a three-match victory run in the tournament. His second match was a victory by pin at 4:56 over Darius Simmons of MacMurray. He took a 9-0 decision in his third match agains Shane Fults of Millikin.

Schroeder's fourth match went into double overtime before the senior came away with a victory over Brock Warden of Marquette. Schroeder finished the tournament with a 10-4 win against Manchester's Mark Rokaczy.

The Wabash wrestling team will participate in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Associated Championship meet on Saturday, February 10 at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
