Soccer Team Falls In Final Match

The Wabash soccer team dropped its final match of the season, losing 6-0 to Washington University in St. Louis.

The Bears scored two goals in the first period, then responded with four in the second to claim the victory.

Wabash goalie Graham Bailey (Evansville, IN/Evansville) made five saves in his 65 minutes of work in goal. Freshman Tom Gaff (Kendallville, IN/East Noble) recorded a save in while playing 25 minutes in the net for the Little Giants.

Wabash finished the season with a 4-14 record. Senior striker Momodou Jagne (Banjul, Gambia/Gambia) finished his soccer career with 61 goals, second-highest career total in Wabash history. James Freeman ’88 finished his career with 64 goals. Jagne also ended his career second to Freeman in total points with 138. Freeman finished with 152. The two are the only Little Giants to top 60 goals or 130 points in a career. Jagne tied the Wabash record for goals in a single season as a sophomore with 24.
