Red Pack Fifth At Conference Championship Race

The Wabash cross country team tied for fifth at the North Coast Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship Meet on Saturday. Jared Smit (Lafayette, IN/Central Catholic) took fifth place in the individual standings with a time of 25:24.7.

Dan Ruge was 28th for the Little Giants with a time of 27:01.20. Ken Shelton (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) took 32nd place, finishing in 27:09. Zach Medler (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) was the next Little Giant to cross the finish line, taking 43rd place with a time of 27:36.5. Dave Seabeck (Laramie, WY/Laramie) finished 45th (27:43.5), Jesus Campos (Pharr, TX/Pharr San Juan-Alamo) was 50th (27:55.1), Dan Sweet (Culver, IN/Culver Military Academy) crossed the line in 52nd place (28:01.2), and Mark Sherer (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso) finished 69th (28:52.5).
