Services Scheduled for David Shawn Mixon

David Shawn Mixon ’03

A memorial service will be held for David Shawn Mixon on Thursday, December 5 in the Wabash College chapel during chapel period beginning at 11:15 a.m.

Bill Placher, LaFollette Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, will officiate.

Mixon, a senior psychology major, died tragically Monday when he suffered from cardiac arrest while playing a pick-up game of basketball in Knowling Fieldhouse.

Formal arrangements have been made in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Calling will be held at Phillips and Robertson Funeral Home (2707 Gallatin Road, Nashville) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, December 5-6.

Funeral services will be held at Phillips and Robinson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Flowers for his mother, Denise Robinson, and family may be sent care of the funeral home.
