Athletics Open House Rescheduled

The Wabash College football team (12-0) keeps winning, and this week will travel to Alliance, Ohio to battle two-time defending champion Mount Union (12-0) in the national quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III football playoffs.

The game is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 7.

That means that the Wabash Athletics Department Open House, scheduled for Saturday, December 7, will be rescheduled for Saturday, January 18.

"We're very proud of our football team and what the players and coaches have accomplished this season," says Dean for Admissions Steve Klein. "We imagine that most of the campus will travel with the team to Mount Union for Saturday's game, so we thought it best to reschedule the Athletics Department Open House for January."

The Wabash football team defeated Wittenberg University (10-2) for the second time this season, a 25-14 victory in the second round of the Division III playoffs. The Little Giants have won 19 straight games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, the basketball team won the Colorado College Thanksgiving Tournament title over the weekend to improve to 4-1 on the season.

"We're anxious to share the excitement and momentum of the athletics department with prospective student-athletes," says Klein. "The best time to host the Open House is when all of our coaches and student-athletes can be on hand to welcome our guests."
