Healy Takes Fifth at Midwest Wrestling Classic

The Wabash wrestlers finished 14th out of 17 teams at the annual Midwest Wrestling Classic, hosted by the University of Indianapolis over the weekend. The Little Giants finished with 18.5 points overall. Ashland won the Classic with 124 points.

Sophomore Chris Healy (Jasper, IN/Jasper) finished fifth at 174 pounds, finishing the weekend with a 4-1 record. Healy opened the weekend with a 12-3 win over Wisconsin-Parkside's Ben Thieem, but fell in the next match 10-7 to Brett Barbarick of Central Missouri. Healy swept the final three matches of the tournament, winning the fifth-place match by a 21-11 major decision over Fort Hays State wrestler Erich Singer.

Sophomore Adam Miller (Pendleton, IN/Pendleton) added an eighth-place finish for the Little Giant grapplers at 157 pounds.
