Estelle Named To GTE Academic All-American Team

Wabash College senior guard Josh Estelle (New Castle, IN/New Castle Chrysler) has been named a Third Team GTE Academic All-American in men's basketball.

Estelle, a speech major at Wabash with a 3.24 cumulative GPA, has made the Dean's List for Wabash three semesters. He is a member of the Sons of Wabash organization, and is also the basketball representative to the Wabash Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

Estelle is a two-time All-American, named to Basketball Online's third team his sophomore year and second team after his junior season. He is a three-time First Team All-Conference Players, earning the honor his freshman and sophomore seasons in the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference and his junior year in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Estelle also earned the Newcomer of the Year Award from the ICAC after his freshman campaign. He is the all-time leading scorer in Wabash College history with 2,065 career points.

On the court this season, Estelle finished as the third leading scorer in the nation in NCAA Division III play with a 25.4 point-per-game average. The North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, he was also a First Team All-Conference Player and a member of the NCAC All-Tournament Team . Estelle ended the season 17th in the nation in free throw shooting percentage (87.6-erecent) and fourth in the nation in three-point field goals per game (3.9). Estelle finished the regular season in the NCAC as the leading scorere and topped the list for three-point field goals per game in the conference.
