Crawfordsville, Ind.—The Wabash College Theater Department will present Oedipus in America with performances scheduled for February 19, 20, 21, and 22 in Ball Theater in the Fine Arts Center. The play is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. each evening.

Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex is regarded by many as the seminal drama of western civilization. In this original adaptation by Wabash Associate Professor of Theater Michael Abbott, Oedipus is once again put to the test. Does Oedipus deserve his fate? Is he a tragic hero? Can he, in fact, be considered a modern man?

The cast list includes Wabash students Aaron Parks, Denis Farr, Johnny Warren, Chris Laguna, Janathan Grandoit, Reynoldo Pacheco, Brandon Aslstott, and Josh Wilson. Justin Dirig will serve as stage manager.

Tickets for the play are free. However, you must obtain your free tickets at the Fine Arts Box Office before attending a theater production. Tickets are available from the Fine Arts Box Office Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. until curtain time. The Box Office will open one hour before curtain time for weekend performances. For phone reservations, call 765-361-6411.

The final theater production for the 2002-2003 season will be The Comedy of Errors on April 16-19 and May 16-17.
