| Description: | This course introduces mathematical thinking through the lens of games and puzzles. We will explore the mathematical structures underlying puzzles like Rubik's cubes, Sudoku, and other logic puzzles. We will also study mathematical games, which involve logic, strategy, and chance. A central goal of this course is to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills that extend beyond mathematics courses. The course also includes a community engagement component outside of class, where students will develop activities around puzzles and games to share mathematical thinking with others. |
