| Description: | This studio/survey course will teach students basic to advanced skills needed to create their own animations using Abode After Effects. Some of the techniques covered will include: Animating layers and working with masks, using the Puppet and Roto Brush Tools, Motion-tracking and working in 3D Space. We will also examine the aesthetic nature of experimental film and specifically how it can be applied to animation. There will be a strong studio art component during the second half of the course. During this time, each student will research an idea and create their own original short experimental animation. |
