| Department: | English |
| Description: | Special Topics in Creative Writing: Screenwriting. This course will introduce you to the basics of cinematic storytelling. You will learn dramatic structure, correct script form, and narrative conventions of successful screenplays. Since this is a workshopping class, much of the class will be devoted to your own original work, from writing treatments, scenes, a TV pilot, to developing your own full-length screenplay. Evaluation of your work will take place in a peer-reviewed workshopping environment, similar to a writing room at a movie studio. This course counts as an elective for the Minor in Film and Digital Media. |
