Description: His 300-02: War and Conflict in the Middle Ages: A Global Perspective This course will examine the full range of armed conflict across the globe in the period between the fall of the great classical empires and the globalization of the world network in the late 1400s. We will explore, through primary sources and secondary readings, the connection of conflict with network activity, state building, cultural constructions, and social structures. Student research will focus on case studies within the larger framework of the course.
