Description: BIO 371-01 = NSC 310-01: Molecular Endocrinology. This seminar course will explore the molecular and cellular mechanisms of hormone action through analysis of primary literature. Particular emphasis will be placed on the structure/function of nuclear and membrane hormone receptors, mechanisms of hormone-regulated signal transduction, and their influence on neuroendocrine pathways. This course counts as an elective toward the Biology major/minor, Biochemistry major, or Neuroscience minor. One course credit. Prerequisite: BIO 212: Cell Biology Instructor: Heidi Walsh
