Description: REL-298-01 = SOC-298-01: 298 Sociology of Religion. This seminar focuses on the history and methods of sociology as applied to the study of religion. In exploring the interaction between religion and society, the course will have two main components: first, we will examine major sociological theories of religion; and second, we will apply them to an examination of religion among teenagers and emerging adults in the United States today. One course credit. No prerequisites.
