Description: FULFILLS HSP REQUIREMENT HIS 350-01: Religion in Latin America This course concerns the history of religious belief and practice in Latin America and the Caribbean from pre-Columbian times until the present. Native traditions, the introduction and reception of Catholicism, Liberation Theology, and the Rise of Protestantism will be the major themes of the course. Students will produce a 15-20 page term paper on an appropriate topic of their choice as the culminating project for the class Prerequisite: One HIS Credit Credits: 1 Instructor: Richard Warner
